Sole S.A. Standards


There are many companies around the world that produce Solar Collectors, but there are only a few companies that have a long history and quality assurance to back their products. The industry has been tainted over the years with inefficient poor quality products. Sole S.A has the history, the quality and also performance certification.

  • / 9002-A / 9459-2, TUV certification, NCSR and the ELOT (Hellenic National Standard Board)

  • The International Solar Energy Board and consists of 35,000 scientists from around the world who recognize the technical achievement of a company, through new designs and quality. Very few companies hold this award.

  • All electronic items carry the CE mark.

  • Pressure vessels are tested and approved to DIN standards.

  • DIN - Deutscher Insdustrie Normenausschuss (For pressure vessels/tanks, flanges and pipe fittings)

  • DIN 4802 - Refers to the general principles of calculating the material wall thickness, quality and welding method etc. so as to have the desired strength for a working pressure of 10 Bars. The testing pressure is 13 Bar (30% of the working pressure).

  • DIN 4804 - Is the equivalent to ASME B1.201 pipe thread and ASME B16.5 for flanges.

  • DIN 17175 - Meets the ASME/ASTM tubing specifications for SA-192, SA 210 A1, SA-209 T1 and a number of other ASME standards. The equivalent is also the British standard 3059 S1 440, 3059 S1 360 and 305 S1 243.

  • TUV - Technical Inspection Association, Germany - (Solar collectors)

  • The TUV also inspect for the DIN, GS, EU and VDE Standards. The TUV is one of the few institutes to test and certify DIN and EU markings.

Sole S.A is one of two companies in the world to be accepted by OBO (Overseas building organization) for the supply of solar water heating systems. OBO represent the American Government.
